Directions & Access to Trail

GETTING HERE

The Chisago Lakes Area is only a short 35 minutes north of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.  Take I-35 north to Forest Lake and take Highway 8 to Chisago Lakes.  If you are coming from the north continue south on I-35 to Stacy then east, left, on CSAH 19 to Chisago Lakes.

Two trailheads are provided;

one is at Kichisaga Park on South Center.  In Lindstrom, go south on CSAH 25/Olinda Trail 2 miles to Glader Blvd. Then go east to Kichisaga Park 1 mile.

The other is the Green Lake DNR boat landing.  Turn east on CSAH 23/Green Lake Trail before getting to Chisago City and proceed to the DNR Boat Landing on CSAH23/Green Lake Trail 4.25 miles.

Or, consult the map and access the trail at any of the numerous portages, boat ramps, beaches, parks or roads that end in the lakes.
