South Green Lake

South Green Lake and Ojiketa Regional Park

Start at Green Lake DNR Boat Landing, canoe to the bays of South Green Lake.  Fish as you paddle past the Light House and around the three islands.  Then paddle back north and across the lake to Ojiketa Regional Park.  Stop at the beach and enjoy this former Campfire Girls of America Camp.

The park was purchased by the City of Chisago and includes trails, open space, a marina, beach, shower houses, cabins, campsites, chapel and two large halls.

Come stay and enjoy a nice quiet night close to the City.  Ojiketa Regional Park offers cabins and campsites for rental with gorgeous Green Lake views in a natural setting.  All cabins have electricity.  Other amenities vary depending on which cabin you rent.  Some cabins come with fireplaces, bathrooms, and kitchenette.  Kitchenette may include coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, and/or hot-plate.  Cabins without private facilities have a bathhouse nearby.

Cabins are a primitive stay experience. Plan as if you are camping. Cabins DO NOT include linens, blankets, pillows, bath towels, toiletries, cooking or eating instruments/utensils, flashlights, and/or bug spray.  firewood is available.  In the event of a severe storm shelter is available in the basement of Strom Hall. Canoe, kayak, and paddle boat rentals are available.

Plan a weekend family event and rent one of the large halls or cabins.  Fix your own meals, order pizza delivered or walk downtown to several restaurants and small town bars.
